stick with bus

METRO RTA has been running a Stick with Bus campaign which I drew. It has been one of their most popular campaigns. Below are two comic strips, one of which never ran for fear of offending the University of Akron.

This is a tshirt advertising METRO's mobile website.

it's stopping traffic!

This is an ad displayed on the exterior of buses for the bus company. It is a movie theme campaign for METRO RTA's website.

first night is coming

Here's a postcard for FirstNight Akron. I know I can show it now that I saw one of my ads for it in a magazine. Today I worked on a Downtown Akron Partnership shell ad. A shell ad is when a whole or large part an ad space page is purchased and sections are sold to other advertisers. Does that make sense? I'll show it later.

get into the wayback machine

This is from waaaayback in 1998. Of course, it was a lot of fun to make. I did the marquee and facade of the Highland Theater from memory. It's pretty close, the tower is actually a little wider than the marquee.

out of the past

A job I did this past summer, creating vector art for a marketing firm for Alcoa Tire. Here is the image made in Adobe Illustrator and the wireframe of the same image.

2012 is coming

I finished up last changes for the First Night Akron postcard and did the first draft for the First Night Akron poster. Again, I'm not sure if the button has been unveiled, so I can't show any of this work yet.

Here is work I did for Downtown Akron Partnership a month or more ago, the Discover Downtown Akron Passport. First is the final product. Next is the first proof, they wanted the word PASSPORT smaller and their logo bigger.

more young inventors

I worked on a First Night Akron promo postcard today. I don't think the new First Night button has been unveiled so I can't show the postcard yet.
Here is some more art from the Young Inventors Hall of Fame comic.

young inventors hall of fame comic

I 'm happy with much of what I did for this year's comic. I did pencil sketches, scanned them, then finished in Illustrator. Here are some samples with a screen shot of the process.
