more young inventors

I worked on a First Night Akron promo postcard today. I don't think the new First Night button has been unveiled so I can't show the postcard yet.
Here is some more art from the Young Inventors Hall of Fame comic.

young inventors hall of fame comic

I 'm happy with much of what I did for this year's comic. I did pencil sketches, scanned them, then finished in Illustrator. Here are some samples with a screen shot of the process.

all the young inventors

Along with 2 Downtown Akron Partnership ads, I completed the comic for the 2010 Young Inventors Hall of Fame comic book. I drew this year's on the computer, my mouse finger really hurts now and it's spasming. I need some ibuprofen. I started out drawing, but thought it'd be quicker and easier to make corrections if I drew them in Adobe Illustrator. Below are examples and one of the hand-drawn sketches.

I'm back

I wasn't gone, just working a lot! The Young Inventors comic book/info/program/thingy is at the printers. Below are some of the portraits for it. That job and the firstnightakron.org redesign took up all my time. The website still isn't live yet though.

Back to the regular quick jobs, I did a First Night Akron ad to go in the Akron Beacon Journal today.
